		+	* Spectres are dealt with by physical force. Hack and slash. They're dangerous but also the simplest to deal with, as there's no careful planning involved and are quite simple - the loci are typically the spectres themselves, which makes it a simple(?) matter of hunting it down.
		+	* Eddies may need more brain work. Sometimes it's not obvious where the locus is, or if it's even accessible - some phenomena recognised as eddies are echoes of the past, much like a spreading ripple, and those in the present can only deal with the aftereffects.
		+	* Fresh ghosts are also simple, in the sense that they haven't had the chance to become complicated. They typically don't really pose a threat either - the ones that get stuck are either 1. recruited as Revs 2. coaxed into passing on 3. forcibly dispersed if neither of the other two work.
		+	* Strays are where it gets messy, because you have an entity with sentience and the maliciousness to do nasty things on the loose, and they themselves can cause eddies here and there. Revs have to play by their rules until they can get close enough - and that's assuming they've pinpointed the source correctly. The loci of strays may not be obvious if they're smart about it, and recklessly breaking up the small clusters they produce (beyond what's necessary to ensure basic safety) is a waste of effort.

Ghosts are sentient. Ghosts can dissipate into stray ectoplasm, in which case they will have lost their sentience and cannot reform. Ghosts are also called clusters (of ectoplasm). Revs are caged ghosts.

-My intention with this setting doesn't have anything to do with the science of explaining why everyone looks different but is biologically the same species so I've been calling them all humans LOL.  The only things I've thought about along these lines is that they are extremely variable as a species and can look similar to any vaguely mammalian creature, however, they're all fundamentally the same species, and have the following in common:
 * Diet - omnivorous. Their dental structure more closely resembles canids' than any other.
 * Outer covering - only fur or anything that can be found on a mammal. Even the ones that I would class as "birdlike" are more accurately draconic, in that they don't have a distinct beak, have teeth, and don't have feathers.

In high concentrations it can cause hallucinations (in the scientific literature) but they're more like...actual supernatural events.
