This is just a page to write stuff down for easy reference and may not actually be related to the main wiki...because I need a place to make notes that's accessible on the Internet without logging in
Artbook
Yay artbook!
Tentatively thinking EITHER a pixel art book which has been a dream for years, or a re:locus one in the vein of the TOKOSHIE series. Or maybe it could be a combination of both! Who knows!
Stuff I like:
- Scenic stuff. Environments
- Game mockups
- Pixel art assets, but also pixel art scenes...pixel art game mockups
- Guidebook mockups/in-universe literature (e.g. fake handbooks, fake magazines, etc.)
- Character introductions
- Sketchbooks/concept art
- Graphic design
Definitely not:
- Just plain full (painted) pieces on every page - pixel might be ok depending...
Consider:
- If doing an in-universe piece, consider doing the text in a cipher font
Subjects
- XIX, in pixel art (locations)
- re:locus character introductions
- re:locus but as a pixel horror game (pixel scenes of cases?)
Format
- If doing one where pixel art is the focus, square or A5 (something smallish)
- If doing mostly large pieces/fullbodies and painted pieces, B5
- Tentatively, shoot for something small - at least 12 pages
- 20 pages good, 32 possibly the maximum that's realistically doable
