This is just a page to write stuff down for easy reference and may not actually be related to the main wiki...because I need a place to make notes that's accessible on the Internet without logging in

Artbook

Yay artbook!

Tentatively thinking EITHER a pixel art book which has been a dream for years, or a re:locus one in the vein of the TOKOSHIE series. Or maybe it could be a combination of both! Who knows!

Stuff I like:

  • Scenic stuff. Environments
  • Game mockups
  • Pixel art assets, but also pixel art scenes...pixel art game mockups
  • Guidebook mockups/in-universe literature (e.g. fake handbooks, fake magazines, etc.)
  • Character introductions
  • Sketchbooks/concept art
  • Graphic design

Definitely not:

  • Just plain full (painted) pieces on every page - pixel might be ok depending...

Consider:

  • If doing an in-universe piece, consider doing the text in a cipher font

Subjects

  • XIX, in pixel art (locations)
  • re:locus character introductions
  • re:locus but as a pixel horror game (pixel scenes of cases?)

Format

  • If doing one where pixel art is the focus, square or A5 (something smallish)
  • If doing mostly large pieces/fullbodies and painted pieces, B5
  • Tentatively, shoot for something small - at least 12 pages
  • 20 pages good, 32 possibly the maximum that's realistically doable
